Collection of Personal Information

FHFCU may collect personally identifiable information, such as a member’s name. The credit union collects and uses public and nonpublic information from and about our members. FHFCU may also collect anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to a member, such as age and household income.

Use of Personal Information

FHFCU collects and uses personal information to operate its website(s) and deliver the services members request and sign up for.

FHFCU may also use personally identifiable information to inform members of other products or services available from FHFCU and its affiliates. FHFCU may also contact members via surveys to conduct research about their opinions of current services or of potential new services that may be offered.

FHFCU does not sell its customer lists to third parties.  We may, from time to time, contact members on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to them. In those cases, a member’s unique share account information (account number(s), balance(s), etc.) is not transferred to the third party. FHFCU may share data with trusted partners to help perform statistical analysis, send emails or postal mail, provide member support, or arrange for deliveries. All such third parties are prohibited from using member personal information except to provide these services to FHFCU, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of member information.

FHFCU may keep track of the websites and pages our users visit within FHFCU, in order to determine what FHFCU services are the most popular. This data is used to deliver customized content and advertising within FHFCU to members whose behavior indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area.

FHFCU will disclose member personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on FHFCU or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of FHFCU; and, (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of FHFCU, or the public.

Use of Cookies

The FHFCU website may use "cookies" to help members personalize their online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on a hard disk by a web page server. Cookies will not be used to run programs or deliver viruses to a computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie.

One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save members time. The purpose of a cookie is to tell the Web server that a member has returned to a specific page. When a member returns to the same FHFCU website, the information previously provided can be retrieved, so the member can easily use the FHFCU features that were customized.

Security of Personal Information

FHFCU secures personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure.

Children Under Thirteen

FHFCU does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen. If a member is under the age of thirteen, they must have consent from a parent or guardian to use the FHFCU website.
